Well it comes to follow then that if science’s only option is to view consciousness as a biological phenomenon then we would expect a scientific theory that accounts for the mind being an emergent property of biological matter.

Where is it?

If it doesn’t exist, then how can they claim they are taking a scientific approach while doubling down and saying that they aren’t practicing philosophy?
