web3 is just a new era of innovation on the web, while it likely can't be pinned down to one technology or one design principle (blockchain, decentralization, metaverse) what they all share in common is the removal of what was previously a type of bureaucracy around various types of distribution, opening up an opportunity for a type of adhocracy. So some innovators and designers can see pathways within that innovation to distribute in novel new ways. These innovations become new types of social orders that previously never existed before.
