Thank you for such a clear summary of my own thinking on the matter, while I acknowledge I have much to learn (Chomsky is saying the US goaded Russia to attack knowing it would weaken the Russian army on the world stage and was willing to have Ukraine decimated in doing so, which I think is rather cynical at this stage) I found your analysis helpful in articulating my own view.
