I think it’s fair to say that a social construct is just our consensual reality, human beings don’t have any other options that have social constructs and social constructs can function just as true and real in our society, things like law, ethics, finance and government are all social constructs, even journalism. Law and science and journalism are are not required to share the same “truth” in common for them to all be true within their domain.
