I like the way you phrased the question. I would say like robots, our minds are similar because our minds can recognize the relationship between contrasts, like true and false, on or off.
But unlike robots, our minds also can accommodate all the degrees in between “on” and “off”.
And this next part , are we like robots because our mind and brain is like hardware and software like robots?
The mind of the robot can allow for Cartesian dualism, but can ours? It’s not looking good.
Humans must be different, with all the degrees in between on and off unlike robots, I suppose physics of the unconscious is no more absurd than the psychology of the unconscious, but how would you have handle the degrees in between physics and psychology ??
