You may want to review twilight languages (a type of symbolic code, like arcane zen riddles) and the purpose of them and how they are used in tantra (magic, essentially) as you’re taking quotes from a text that is using twilight language (liber al vel legis) a little out of its context there.
If you’ve had an opportunity to review the Himalaya vajrayana and bonpo traditions those may provide more insight into how western occultism functions (at least originally).
There is an aspect to these type of things that are like civilization building arts, and there is a psychology and theater to it that is self aware, they don’t need to function as “belief systems” they work a different way. I reference the Himalayan traditions because they were preserved and untouched by the outside for 1000 years until China invaded Tibet. Those are preserved sources for much in the Blavatsky to golden dawn systems in western occultism.
