Hey I like that your thinking about ways to design solutions, that’s a good thing . With this particular solution however, assuming it would work, would be adoption. It would require too much work and fight to get it implemented. As we are a democratic republic, a consensus would need to form.

It would mean your taking money away from people who will likely want to keep it.

That means a long term fight with a likely outcome of failure.

Well, maybe it could become a populist idea, but then it needs a big culture war to implement.
