An AI can’t create meaning, it can only recognize a pattern in meaning as humans express it. “Artist” as an individual creating works that are sold or commissioned will not be threatened by this. Artists who sell their crafts to merchants, who use those works to sell products, yeah…probably that set. But art as a whole? How could you limit art to a collection of generated patterns humans already preselected as art?
